|

|
RSPCA Victoria One avenue in which you can work towards positive change is by becoming a member of the RSPCA. Dramatic improvement in animal welfare will only occur with a unified and strong voice - by becoming a voting member you will have the opportunity to make a difference.
|
One Industry. One Voice. The Importance Of Industry Membership HorsePoint is a member of these organisations because we feel that it is important to take part in the Australian Horse Industry with a strong and united voice. By showing our support through membership we are helping these organisations do the invaluable work that will benefit everyone within the Industry. We urge all horse owners, clubs, societies and associations to do the same.
If all horse owners and horse industry organisations and businesses were to unite under the banner of a central industry organisation, the Horse Industry in Australia would become one of the largest and most cohesive groups in the country. This would enable us to (among other things):
- protect our horses and our industry in the event of a contageous disease outbreak;
- act to reduce the loss of access to public land and trails for recreational horse riding;
- work to gain better funding for infrastructure such as State and Regional Equestrian Centres;
- attract increased funding for research, development and business;
- act to influence the welfare of horses in Australia, and;
- act to make changes to existing animal welfare legislation so that horses are better protected.
